Welcome to Catkins Preschool
About
Founded in 1991, Catkins Preschool has 30 years of experience in helping to prepare and develop children as they grow. We recognise parents as the first and most important educators of their young children. We aim to support parents and are very keen for you to feel part of the Catkins family and your child’s ongoing development. We welcome children from the age of 2 and accept government funding.
We are based in Tunbury Hall, Catkin Close in the Walderslade Woods area of Chatham. Get in touch with us or pop in for a chat to find out more.

Catkins Preschool Mission
We believe that children thrive in an environment which values their own uniqueness, while providing support and opportunities to grow emotionally, socially and creatively. By building on each child’s strengths, interests and curiosities, we guide each child to explore the world around them as well as develop new abilities and form close relationships.
We are an Ofsted approved setting and work closely with our settings improvements manager to ensure we are consistently exceeding expectations.
